Cotton growers flooded business: inquiry
Cotton growers are taking priority over other landholders in southern Queensland, says a woman who blames levees for flooding her home and business over summer. Kylie Kilroy's story was examined in the Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday, sitting in the southern inland town of St George. Ms Kilroy has told the inquiry the Balonne River peaked at 13.2 metres on January 9.
