Select spices surge on strong demand

Black pepper prices rose at the spices market here today due to heavy offtake from stockists and traders coupled with rising overseas demand. Elsewhere, copra Rajapur and copra edible also firmed up on increased domestic buying. While, copra Kozhikode moved down slightly owing to reduced buying from millers. Black pepper spurted by Rs14 per kilo to Rs305/325 from Monday's closing level of Rs291/
