Suthep halts rubber exports

Deputy Prime Minister and chairman of the National Rubber Policy Committee Suthep Thaugsuban said he has ordered a temporary halt to rubber exports until the price improves. Mr Suthep said on Wednesday the current decline in the rubber price was not in line with its trading nature. The price of rubber is down from a record high of 187 baht a kilogram to 95 baht.
